Another candle to blow out today

Another Candle to blow out today and another year to be thankful for. Each year I remember making a wish, whether about love, stars or happiness, I've always anticipated this moment. The moment that captures my whole year in a still thought. You see, out of the millions of wishes, that I have the opportunity to choose from, I've selected this one on my birthday. In this one short second its just my thoughts and I, who forget about all of the old wishes that never came true and rather reflect on the ones to come. As I inhale the breath of a new year, I'm reminded that each flickering light in front of me, represents a flickering year and the hope of another 365 days, which are never guaranteed. So, as I close my eyes and blow out another candle, I'll use this second to lye awake with my own thought, in my own moment and with my own wish.
